[2]Why doesn’t TransactionScope work with Entity Framework?

Common transaction for two different SQL servers is called Distributed Transaction. You get this situation even when you're trying to work with the same database but in different contexts (in different connections). In Entity Framework i get an error similar to following. Follow the links and you'll find out how to fix this problem.

System.Data.EntityException: The underlying provider failed on Open. ---> System.Transactions.TransactionManagerCommunicationException: Network access for Distributed Transaction Manager (MSDTC) has been disabled. Please enable DTC for network access in the security configuration for MSDTC using the Component Services Administrative tool. ---> System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8004D024): The transaction manager has disabled its support for remote/network transactions. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8004D024)
